FAN OF THE WEEK 7/23-7/29: Tom S!! Propmaster of "Anything Goes"
hello all, actually i'm not just a fan of the week---i've melissa's fan for the past THREE weeks. my name is tom, a 46 yr old male, and i am the prop master for the show in which melissa is currently starring, "anything goes". i've worked for musical theatre west off and on for the past 10 years and in all that time, i dont think ive had the opportunity to work with someone as sweet and humble as melissa. she is honestly one of the sweetest people with which i've ever worked. it has been an honor and a privilege to work with her. a lot of actors can be very difficult to work with, either they are so into their character that they forget they are still apart of the human race, or so they are so into themselves that they forget the human race still exists. melissa is neither. she is always so extremely kind and polite, never has a bad word about anyone, and is continually encouraging to each person in the cast and crew. even when things go wrong (if a prop gets broken or if she has a quick and difficult costume change), she never complains, but very politely asks for assistance, and because she is such a sweetheart, one could never say "no" to someone who is so nice. anyway, it doesnt really matter to me if i'm chosen as "fan of the week", because i'll always be a big fan of hers anyway, and all due to the fact that i've had the opportunity to work with her, spend time with her, and become a friend of hers.
best to you always, melissa, in everything you do---you have come far and will go farther!!!
love ya,kiddo

FAN OF THE WEEK 4/30-5/7: Jamie
Hi all! I'm Jamie, I live in sunny ( yet surprisingly booooring) Arizona! I became a Melissa fan via my good friend, and best-laugher on the planet, Kikkie! I really have a ton of respect for Melissa and her generosity towards her fans, and, it goes without saying that I think she is immensly talented! her voice is so unique!! I am having a ball getting to know my fellow kittens in tuesday night chats ( at the BN baby!) And Jax and Kikkie deserve an undying amount of applause for all of the hard work they put into keeping up this perfectly pink site! Well kids, thats about it, I guess the only other thing you need to know is that the way to my heart is through good music and funky flavored peanut butter!! CIAO!
Jamie, girl, you are so awesome! You've been nothing but 100% totally awesome fahn fan since your first night in the chat room! You're totally sweet and the pink fuzzy ears and tail totally cement your kittenness! Keep rockin, girl! FAN OF THE WEEK 1/9-1/14: Kirk D, aka "Goggle Head"
Why should I be FOTW? Well, though I don't have many special qualifications like some lucky people *cough*Joel*cough*, I am a huge fan of Melissa's VA work and am a bit of a goggle head. If anyone remembers someone at Anime Boston asking Mel to call him a goggle head...*points to self*. I became a fan around 5 years ago. It was after I heard Mel's VAing as Rika and as Gaz. I did a quick search online and found more of her work, including Ed from Bebop which just made me more of a fan. I mean, here are 3 of my favorite characters period and they're done by the same person. How could I not be a fan? Now, I've yet to see Mel in any of her on stage performances, but hopefully that'll change this summer. My current Mel obsession involves her role as Norn in Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. If you ever wanted to hear catgirl Mel, here's your fix. I don't know what it is about Mel that really makes me such a huge fan. Her voice, her energy, her characters, her fine looking...uh...resume. I just know that I am a huge fan of her work and will continue to be an avid fan for a long time to come.
Yaaaaaaaaay goggleboy!I mean--Kirk! You are a very awesomely supportive fan and that means a lot to us here at Mille Baci, and of course, I'm sure Melissa appreciates it too! Keep up the awesome fan-ness and don't forget to come to the Tuesday chats now that your laptop is fixed ;) Congrats again! (Jax apologizes profusely for her inability to spell)

FAN OF THE WEEK [extendeded] 12/25-1/8: Joel Alpers, Reigning King of FOTW
Being Melissa's husband showers me with uncountable blessings every day, but it also allows me the privilege of having incredible fan access - and believe me, I am a HUGE Melissa Fahn fan! Long before we were a romantic item, we got to share the stage with Vox Lumiere, and I always thought she was the most wonderful talent, the sweetest person, and just a joy to be around. And beautiful too! In that special way that drummers and chick singers often bond with each other, we fell in love and...well, here we are. Now I'm the luckiest Fahn fan there is. I get to hear her sing in the shower every day (it's amazing!) I get to watch her dance around the house (Brazilian music gets her every time!) Sometimes I run lines with her (she was a great Glinda!) And believe me, these "home performances" are just as inspired as anything I've seen or heard her do in a voiceover studio, or on stage in front of an audience. Melissa's joy at being able to share the gifts she has been given informs everything she does, and that's what I admire most about her - that, and the fact that she is the warmest person with the most generous heart and spirit anyone could ever hope to know. It's a real honor to count myself among the many wonderful Fans of the Week who have written such wonderful things about her and who make us feel so happy - thank you all, and thank you Jackie!
FOTW again?! Yes, yes. Again. Joel is reprising his role as Fan of the Week for Christmas through his birthday January 8th. So Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Joel! You're Fan of the Week! YAY JOEL!!!! We ♥ Joel!

FAN OF THE WEEK 11/13-11/19: Kimmie!
Ah, so I get to tell all the world (or at least the internet, which very well my be the whole world) about my love for Melissa Fahn. How about a little background on me first though, yeah? My name is Kimmie and I am 23 years old. I live in Southern California and I'm never sure how much I like it, but it's where I have a roof over my head of sorts, so who's complaining? In my spare time (and I have more of it than I know what to do with) I like to sing and write. I also do graphic design and I am head over heels in love with Broadway. My Broadway obsession and I have a very strong relationship, and that's what brought me to Melissa!
I first heard of Melissa through my wonderful Jackie. Melissa did some great things for Jackie last summer without (at the time) knowing what it meant to her. It just amazed me that this woman, who was then at the time in the ensemble of my favorite show, Wicked could make my best friend so happy and feel so good about herself. So I started to look into her career and get this little-engine-that-could website of the ground with Jackie. A couple months later... Melissa called me on my birthday and sang me happy birthday (as Betty Boop even... so talented and cute I swear.) and I think I died a little. The voicemail is still saved in my mailbox and I listen to it whenever I am sad or depressed and it never fails to make me smile.
Then in February I saw Melissa play Marty in Grease. I have always been and always will be a Grease baby. It is one of my favorite shows of all time. I know it forwards and backwards and sideways and then some. Anyway, I was ecstatic over this so I went with my mom and the show was absolutely amazing. I went twice. Met the entire cast both times, and played around backstage in the girls' dressing room. Melissa was so sweet to me and she has such an amazing talent. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. And the funny part? I think she knows that.

Kimmie's fan of the week again because THIS WEEK IS KIMMIE'S BIRTHDAY!!! YAY KIMMIE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

FAN OF THE WEEK 10/30-11/5: Joel Alpers, Reigning King of FOTW
Being Melissa's husband showers me with uncountable blessings every day, but it also allows me the privilege of having incredible fan access - and believe me, I am a HUGE Melissa Fahn fan! Long before we were a romantic item, we got to share the stage with Vox Lumiere, and I always thought she was the most wonderful talent, the sweetest person, and just a joy to be around. FOTW again? Why not! Since we didn't get any submissions for FOTW the last couple of weeks, we've put our darlin Joel in again. Yay! Joel is our reigning king of fan of the week, and why not? He's Melissa's totally awesome husband! YAY JOEL!!!! We ♥ Joel!

FAN OF THE WEEK 10/9-10/15: Anthony Q!!
My name is Anthony Q, I live in Eastchester, New York, but I'm sure no ones ever heard of that town; and I'm 15 years old. I usually look up voice actors/ actresses that I really like when I see an anime, so when I first watched Cowboy Bebop way back when I found out about Melissa. I've loved her talents ever since then, shes one of the best voice actresses ever. I'm pretty into drawing, character design and all, and making personalities for the characters. She shapped Ed's character so well in Cowboy Bebop that it inspired me to make more characters like Ed, in a way, like Melissa. Shes just a wonderful voice actress, she puts so much life into characters.
Congrats, Anthony! Way to go becoming fan of the week, and you DEFINITELY deserve it! For those of you who don't know, Anthony is donating some Rika cards as well as a Digimon Tamers Manga to us for Melissa to sign and add to our auction lots! Anthony, you truly are a wonderful fan and an unbelievably generous fan! Thank you for all of your help and being such a supportive fan of Melissa's and such a supportive member of our little fan community! You rock, Anthony! Thank you SO much!

FAN OF THE WEEK 10/2-10/8: Alyssa!!
Hi, I'm Alyssa from California. I came across Melissa's work for the first time through Digimon. I hadn't ever seen the show before, but the uniquely dulcet yet defiant voice of the character Rika hooked me in and made me a fan! Melissa really brought that character to life. In fact, I ended up tuning in for the next season of Digimon just for Melissa's narrations-with-attitude at the beginning and end of each episode. So adorable! After a while, I started noticing that familiar, lovely voice pop up in so many of the shows on the Adult Swim lineup. Every time I would check IMDB to confirm, sure enough, Melissa's name would be there! I was amazed to see how many roles she has played. And when I realized that she also has a strong background in theatre and an incredible singing voice, I was even more impressed. This woman is a star! I've enjoyed every voiceover performance of Melissa's that I've seen, and I hope to someday see her on the stage. Best wishes to her!
Way to go, Alyssa! Congrats on becoming this weeks fan of the week! It's always great to find more well-rounded fans of Melissa, especially ones with great words like "dulcet" in their vocabularies! You totally rock, Alyssa, way to go fan of the week!

FAN OF THE WEEK 9/18-9/24: Jared!!
Hi, my name is Jared and I am 19 years old and a sophomore Psychology major at Kent State University. I live in Munroe Falls with my mom. I've heard about Melissa Fahn from Jackie for quite some time now, but it was just recently that I was able to see her perform in person. I saw her in the East coast premiere of Vox Lumiere's Hunchback of Notre Dame. She was phenomenal (manamana)! I loved the songs that she sang and the energy she put into the role. I also love how sweet and bubbly she is in person!
There are also no words for Jared except: Manamana. That is all.

FAN OF THE WEEK 9/11-9/17: Stacy!!
Hi, my name is Stacy, I'm from Twinsburg, Ohio and I've been friends with Jax for a very very long time. I am 18 years old and a musical theatre concentration at Kent State University. I first became a fan of Melissa when she voiced Gaz in Invader Zim. I like Gaz because she is the taster of pork, no seriously, her portrayal of the character was done wonderfully and she has phenomenally talented voice, whether she's talking as a character or singing her lungs out. This past weekend, I traveled to Philadelphia to see Melissa perform (live) for the first time ever in Vox Lumiere's Hunchback of Notre Dame. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Not only did I hear the full range of Melissa's vocal talents, I got to see how amazingly vibrant she was on stage. I was so amazed by the show that I saw it twice (thank you, Melissa, you rock!) and I got to see it with my two best friends, which only made it better. It really was amazing. I don't think I can say that enough, because it's undeniably true. Melissa absolutely lit up the stage. I can't wait until I get another chance to see Melissa in a live show because I think it's the only way you can experience all that is Fahn. Melissa and Joel were so absolutely wonderful to us, proving that you can be unbelievably talented, totally successful, and still totally selfless and down to earth all at the same time. You two are a wonder, don't stop being totally rad. I'm also a fan of Cowboy Bebop and I'm really happy that she is Ed, and I love Hello Kitty, and just everything else that she has done. Peace Out!
Oh, Stacy, Stacy, Stacy! There are no words that I can put here that even begin. Everybody, Stacy rocks. She's gonna be a rockstar someday! No words, no words. Stacy is the best. *Bows down*

FAN OF THE WEEK 9/4-9/10: Mary!!
Hello. My name is Mary, I'm 20, and I'm from North Carolina. I've actually been a fan of Melissa's work for several years. I believe I first heard her as Sora in the Ah! My Goddess Movie and as Ed in Cowboy Bebop. I was fortunate enough to see her in the August 11th, 2004 performance of Wicked, which was INCREDIBLE. I was so happy to be able to spot her out, and now I can say "Hey, I've seen her live." Needless to say, my fandom for her really took off there. In addition to her live performance in Wicked and her film/TV roles in AMG and Cowboy Bebop, I have enjoyed her outstanding voice acting in Love Hina, Wild Arms, Guyver, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Jungle de Ikou, Blood: The Last Vampire, Zatch Bell, and various other series. Looking back at all this, I'm quite honestly honored to be the fan of the week. Melissa, you have an amazing voice and I'm so glad that I've been able to experience so much of your work! I look forward to seeing more of it in the future!
Awesome Mary! It's always great to get someone who's a fan of all the aspects of Melissa's talents and you sure do fit that bill! You totally rock, congratulations on becoming Fan of the Week!

FAN OF THE WEEK 8/28-9/3: Tim!!
Hello. My name is Tim, and I have been a fan of Mellisa for years, ever since I first heard her rendition of Ed on the anime Cowboy Bebop, and I have enjoyed her voicework since. I've enjoyed her voice work in many series since, including Invader Zim, FLCL, the A Megami Sama Movie, Love Hina, El Hazard, Gundam 0080, Jungle de Ikou, and numerous others I thoroughly enjoyed. I haven't had a chance to see her stage work, but I've heard nothing but praise about it and I am eager to be able to experience another facet of Melissa's excellent talents.
Way to go Tim! You surely do sound like quite the anime expert, especially when it comes to things Melissa's been in! If you love her voice work, you'll love her stage work, we promise! Congrats on being fan of the week and thanks for sending your info in! You totally rock!

FAN OF THE WEEK 8/21-8/27: Laine!!
Hey, I'm Laine, and I'm from Havertown, PA. I became a fan of Melissa's when I saw Wicked in June 2004, even though I didn't know who she was at the time. When I heard the recording of her singing "For Good" at Bryant Park, I fell in love with her voice. I joined the LiveJournal community for her as soon as I found out about it. There I found out that she was not only a great singer, but the voice of my favorite character on Invader Zim, too. I was planning on going to New York on January 9th, for the day of what was suposed to be Idina's last show in Wicked, when I found out about the pizza party. Some things came up and I wasn't sure if I would be able to go to NY, so I never said anything about going. I did get to go to the city, though, and was able to go to the pizza party and eat some great food, courtesy of Melissa! I live near Philadelphia, so I'm hoping to be able to go see her in Vox Lumiere next month. I'm really excited to be fan of the week, and can't wait to get to see Melissa live again!
Yay Laine! We had SO much fun at the Pizza Party in January, it was way great to see you there and a totally awesome surprise. You're an awesome Fahn fan and a totally awesome Wicked fan! Best of luck with going to see Vox, who knows, maybe you'll see some familiar faces there ;) Congrats, girl!

FAN OF THE WEEK 8/14-8/20: Michelle Ann!!
Hello. My name is Michelle and I have a Melissa Fahn problem. Hehe. J/k. I became a Melissa fan after seeing Wicked back in January 2004 (when Taye Diggs was in). She and another actor from the show as well as the Stage Manager did a talk back session with my university's group. She was so charming and so informative! She really seemed happy to talk to us aspiring actors/technies and give us insight. I was impressed by her sincere attitude. So, when I got home, I looked her up online and found out that she was an amazing voice actress that I had admired for a long time. (I am an aspiring voice actress myself.) I was floored. :-) You have an amazing voice, Melissa. Anyways, then I also had the honor of seeing her in the workshop of Camille the next time I came to NYC in which she was superb. ^_^ So, that's my Melissa Fahn fan history hehe. I'm honored to be fan of the week. Melissa, keep up the great work!
Way to go, Michelle Ann! That is so awesome that your group got to talk to Melissa and the others! And you got to see Camille! How awesome! Congrats on being FOTW, you totally deserve it, girl! Yeah!

FAN OF THE WEEK 8/7-8/13: Lauren!!
My name is Lauren, I'm 17, and from Southern California. I'm really excited to be fan of the week! It's quite appropriate because I finally met Melissa a little over a week ago, (Thursday, July 28th), and got to enjoy her kindness as well as her performance in Wicked. I learned about Mel through my big "sister," Jackie, and have fallen in love with her personality and talent. I look up to Melissa as a performer, especially a dancer, and wish I were able to do what she does. I have seen her in 2 performances of Wicked and in Stephen Sondheim's birthday celebration at the Hollywood Bowl. Her performance was amazing every time. I had been wanting to meet Melissa for a very long time, and even sent my grandparents to see and meet her when she was in Redhead because I wasn't able to go. Finally meeting Melissa was one of the most amazing experiences I've had. She was so sweet and adorable, with her cute little voice that got even littler when she talked to Jackie on the phone. I am thankful that I had that chance to tell her how much I look up to her, not only as a performer, but as a person.
Way to go, Lauren! That's totally awesome and so are you! Congrats on becoming FOTW, and good luck with your dancing and keep up the good work!

FAN OF THE WEEK 7/31-8/6: Amanda!!
I am nominating my cousin Amanda to be FOTW because she has grown to love Melissa Fahn through my influence in our music choice. Now she runs around the house singing songs like Clever and Things I Never Said. She is a long time fan of Hello Kitty and was very pleased to find out that Melissa had done voice work for the series. She also loves Wicked, especially Popular, so we listen to Melissa s version from Anime Boston as much as we can. (Submitted by former FOTW Jeanne!)
Thanks, Jeanne, for submitting your TOTALLY adorable cousin, Amanda! She's such a sweetheart and already such a cute little Melissa fan! Good job!

FAN OF THE WEEK 7/24-7/30: Betsy!!
I would love to be a FOTW because I've known of and seen Mel since she was in the very beginning of Wicked and loved her ever since! She's been with Wicked through thick and thin, through Cheno and Jen-o and now she's enjoying it all over again with a bunch of new experiences! I really am glad to see her back and was thrilled to meet her so many times with you all on the 29th. She is a wonderful person and I am glad to have gotten the chance to know her as well as you do and been so kind to her. Shes a great person and I'm glad you both have one another! Cheers to her and props to you! I hope I'll see more of her in the future!
Yay Betsy! Way to go, FOTW! It was so much fun hanging out with you in NY, too, and getting to see Melissa with you. Good times! Keep up the good work with JLTO and mucho hugs from us! Woo Hoo!

FAN OF THE WEEK 7/17-7/23: Gretchen!!
It is such an honor to be chosen as fan of the week this week! I can't believe I just met Melissa for the first time this past Wednesday! My name is Gretchen and I'm 23 and I'm from Santa Barbara, CA (although I'm moving to NYC in a little over a month). I can't remember where I first heard about Melissa. I had heard her name several times when I first started looking around Wicked websites but I didn't know much about this talented actress. I guess the first time I really became aware of who she was was when I met Jackie. I knew how much Jackie adored her and so I thought I'd check out the site! I remember looking through the site and realizing how much Melissa had done and how truly talented she was. Although I had still never seen her perform or even heard her. I guess I kind of became a fan through all the love and respect that Jackie and Kimmie had for her.
When I found out that Melissa was going to be in Grease in LA I decided I'd drive down to see her. Unfortunately that week I had to get new brakes on my car and missed seeing her, but I still hoped that maybe once I moved to NY I'd get to see her in another show. Then, last month when Melissa went back to NY for a short time to be a swing in the show, I was so extremely jealous of all my friends who were in the city that week seeing the show (and believe me, there were a lot!). All they could tell me was how WONDERFUL Melissa was! At one point when Jackie and some of the other girls were with her I called and was completely excited that they were with Melissa. I probably made a complete fool out of myself :p
Finally when I heard that Melissa would be in the tour in LA I realized I'd FINALLY really get the chance to meet her! And not only that but I got to see her in the role that Kathy Deitch originated on Broadway. It was great to watch her and Katie Adams right next to Glinda the whole time! It is SUCH a great role for Melissa and I wish everyone could have seen her.
Before the show Kimmie and I met Melissa's mom. She was incredibly sweet and told us that Melissa would see us after the show. The show ended and I finally got the opportunity to meet Melissa. I was extremely shocked when she actually knew who I was but also very delighted :) She took us backstage to meet other performers and just chat. It was great to have the opportunity to just stand there and talk to her! Melissa thanked us for supporting her but really it is us who need to thank Melissa. She has given me so much joy through her wonderful spirit and voice. Thank you Melissa for sharing your talent and your love for your work with us. It gives me so much joy to see you on stage!!!

Absolutely WONDERFUL Gretchen! And thank YOU for your wonderful contributions to the site. You deserve it! Keep those fabo pictures coming and keep being a wonderful fan!

FAN OF THE WEEK 7/10-7/16: Kimmie!!
And the funny part? I think she knows that.

Kimmie is the biggest reason this site exsits and deserves more than anyone to be FOTW more than anyone else. It's because of her that this website exists and is as good as it can be. She gives us our hosting space here on Wicked-Popular and helps with site maintenance. She's the best and totally deserves to be FOTW. This is also a special week for Kimmie to be FOTW as she's going to see Melissa at WICKED in Los Angeles on the tour! Awesome. Kimmie, keep beaing wonderful and helping us with this "little engine that could" and keeping us all happy and squishy. <3! MWAH. Best. Ever!

FAN OF THE WEEK 6/19-6/25: Matt
Name: Matt
Location: Alabama
Age: 17
I first recognized Melissa's mad skills with her portrayals of Ed (Cowboy Bebop) Frau Bow (Gundam:Movie Trilogy) and her adorable Nyan-Nyan .(Fushigi Yugi) Her amazing talent is an inspiration to an aspiring youg actor like myself. I respect her for living out her dreams and envy her for her career. She truly is an inspiration to us all. I congratulate her for all her accomplishments and the many more to come. Keep Shining, Melissa Fahn, your flame attracts us all!

Congrats, Matt! What Matt failed to mention is he is a voice actor himself! He's part of the great community of amateur voice actors! Way to go, Matt! And what wonderful things you have to say about Melissa (and the site!) Thanks dude!

FAN OF THE WEEK 6/5-6/11: Ashley
NAME: Ashley
LOCATION: Frederick, MD
AGE: 22
HOW DID YOU BECOME FAMILIAR WITH MELISSA: I was cast as Mary Ann in "Gilligan's Island: The Musical" and discovered that Melissa created that role. I feel in love with her voice after listening to the soundtrack and after an internet search, I discovered that I had seen her in the ensemble of "Wicked"! I've been a fan ever since. :)

Yay for Ashley! Congratulations on getting the part of Mary Ann! Everyone should check out her online photo album with pictures of her cast of Gilligan! Too cute! If you're in the DC area, check out the show! It's being put on by the Landless Theatre Company and is sure to be a treat. Break a leg, Ashley, and way to go as fan of the week!

FAN OF THE WEEK 5/22-5/28: David N!!
OK, my name is David Ng, webmaster for www.ng-master.com. I've been a photographer for anime cons for quite some time and a fan of anime even longer. I first heard Melissa's lovely work in Cowboy Bebop years and years ago, and at the time, was wondering who could belt out such an incredibly sweet and mischevious (not to mention eccentric) voice. I actually got my answer when I met Melissa at Anime Boston 2005, where I was working as staff photographer, and had the opportunity to finally meet such a quirky voice to match such a lovely actress
Yay David! You rock twice as hard because not only are you a totally rad fan of Melissa, but YOU took awesome pictures at Anime Boston AND you got the permission to share them with us. Gold Star!!! You totally rocka nd you're an awesome fan. Keep it up, Dave!

FAN OF THE WEEK 5/15-5/21: Josh D!!
Josh D from Lexington MA. I got to know of Melissa through her outstanding work as Ed from Cowboy Bebop like many people must have. After that I have followed some of her other work on stage and as a Voice actor. Melissa is such a kind person and she has a really sweet personality and it shows. I had the honor of meeting her at Anime Boston 2005 where she was kind enough to take a picture with me and sign my events book. I also went to her panel which was really fun, she seems very natural around people and for a relative newcomer to conventions (in comparison to someone like Monica Rial who has been to over 50) she has done amazingly well and is overal a phenominal person.
WoooHooo Josh! Way to go! You're fan of the week this week because through your correspondence with our kittens after Anime Boston we've gotten to see what an awesome fan you are of Melissa's! It was great to meet you at Anime Boston and we're SO glad you got to meet Melissa and have your picture (which will be up this week) taken with her! How totally rad. Thanks for being such a wonderful guy! ^_^!

FAN OF THE WEEK 5/8-5/14: Lindsay R!!
Hello Melissa, this is Lindsay and I'd just like to say that I adore you as Edward from the "Cowboy Bebop" series. Right from the start, I loved her character and you've really helped. She sounds so cute and spunky, her little verbal quirks are charming, and kind of contagious! Sometimes when I'm in a goofier mood, I'll refer myself in the third person, say "-person" after someone's name like Ed did with Spike and Jet when she was introducing them to her father (expect most often, when I recognize other English voice actors in other anime works, I tend to say things like Spike-voice or Jet-voice; nonetheless an Ed inspiration!), and often I'll call Faye Valentine "Faye-Faye" instead!
I even have a LiveJournal under the username RadicalLindsay since I love Ed and can sometimes be a quirky goof ball like her. An homage to her, you could say. And to top it off, I've even bought a plushie at SunCoast, I believe, of Ed with Ein in her arms. It's so cute!
Well, I suppose that's it, just here to let you know you've brought to life a wonderful character that I adore. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Sincerely, your fan,
Lindsay R. R.

Lindsay, you totally rock! Congrats on being FOTW you are the best! You've been a constant companion for our head kitten in the cowboy bebop LJ communities and for that she's eternally grateful--you rock RadicalLindsay!

FAN OF THE WEEK 5/1-5/7: The Fans at Anime Boston 2005!!
This week's FOTW is a little different than the rest because it's not just ONE fan, it's A LOT of fans... Having experienced the insanity of AB'05 firsthand, I know that it was totally awesome for Melissa. Every single person who talked to her, asked her a question, stopped her for a picture, stood in that two hour autograph line (and even some who waited three hours to be at the front of the line *coughmalletgirlscough*) and even the guy who dressed as Bloaty the Pizza Hog (and made Melissa turn into a little fangirl herself) deserves to be fan of the week this week! You're all stars and you all made Melissa's first convention (and mine) the best experience ever. You've definitely made us all want to come back for more. So, to every fan who was at AB '05, thanks! Thanks for making this weekend totally awesome and thanks for being so wicked rad. Thanks for giving us a totally awesome weekend and showing that Boston fans are crazy as anything else! Pat yourselves on the back, kids, you're ALL this weeks FOTW. - Jax

FAN OF THE WEEK (REPRISE) 4/24-4/30: Joel Alpers!!
I get to hear her sing in the shower every day (it's amazing!) I get to watch her dance around the house (Brazilian music gets her every time!) Sometimes I run lines with her (she was a great Glinda!) And believe me, these "home performances" are just as inspired as anything I've seen or heard her do in a voiceover studio, or on stage in front of anaudience.
WTF KITTENS, WHY IS JOEL FOTW AGAIN!? Easy. It's the week of Melissa's birthday, and since that is a very, very special week... It's only fitting that the #1 man in Melissa's life gets to be Fan of the Week again. I mean, let's face it. Joel is her fan of forever!!! So there you go. Joel is FOTW again because it's a super extra special week. (And yes, Joel, you still hold the record.)

FAN OF THE WEEK 4/17-4/23: Cressa!
Hello! I'm Cressa! I'm 17 and I live in northwest Washington. I have never seen Melissa perform live (not yet), but I've heard her sing and I adore her voice! I also love how considerate and caring of a person she is to her fans and friends. She has such a bubbly personality and that is noticeable in her work. I'm beyond excited to see her in Vox Lumiere in May and hopefully meet her!
Totally awesome job, Cressa! You totally rock and its totally cool that you're fan of the week less than a month before you get to see Melissa performing in Vox Lumiere! Lucky you! You're totally awesome and you're always way supportive of the kittens, the site, and just everything. You're an awesome fan and I hope you have a TOTAL blast when you see Vox in May!

FAN OF THE WEEK 4/10-4/16: Ross!
I started watching Cowboy Bebop for the music and quickly got involved in the plot. Interestingly enough the first episode I came in on was the one where Ed enters the story. It doesn't get more random then Ed and that is exactly what is required at times to offset the seriousness that is sometimes common place in Cowboy bebop. Having watched all the episodes, the movie, and spending far too much time collecting various memrobilia I can truthfully say that I'm hooked and I truthfully belive Melissa is absolutely perfect for voicing Ed and she adds so much to the story. Melissa is a great talent and I believe that she really has a bright future ahead of her and I cannot wait to hear more from her. She's awesome!
Yay Ross! Way to go fan of the week! You're one of the only people the head kitten can talk to about Bebop and all things Melissa at school and you keep me psyched about the CBRemix dvds coming out! You totally rock as a Fahn Fan and as a friend so keep up the awesome fan/friendness! Rock out! Congrats for making it as Fan of the Week.

FAN OF THE WEEK 4/3-4/10: Chris!
Chris, 22, Bay Shore, Long Island, NY. Of course I had seen Melissa in WICKED twice...but my big "Melissa moment" came in summer 2004 when I saw Melissa sing "For Good" (with Eden Espinosa) at "Broadway in Bryant Park." She was so cute and so amazing! Little did I know that Ms. Fahn was also on INVADER ZIM, a show my friend Jay introduced me to earlier that summer. Ms. Jackie has been extremely supportive of Melissa and her endeavors, and has also made me a more active Melissa fan. And I was also there to support Melissa at the 1-9-05 pizza party...YAY! Melissa rocks! (Shameless plug: I am also the creator of the WICKED COMPILATION.)
Yay Chris! We had sooo much fun at the pizza party! So much fun with all the Fahn fans who showed up that night! You are totally awesome and the video you made of Bryant Park on your Compilation DVD totally rocks! (Anyone who wants to SEE Melissa perform at Bryant Park needs to e-mail this boy about his Compilation DVDs PRONTO, they are SO worth the money! Plus you get to see Melissa in the ensemble in the David Letterman, Macy's Parade, and Tony performances! How... Wicked! (Sorry! Couldn't resist!) Chris, you're totally awesome and congrats on being the fan of the week! You rock!

FAN OF THE WEEK 3/27-4/2: Andi!
Athough I had seen Wicked twice before, I never really knew about Melissa. However, that all changed this summer when, by chance, I met Jackie. We connected instantly over our love for Broadway and various actors/actresses, and she convinced me to go with her to the Wicked stage door before a matinee because she was a huge fan of Melissa and wanted to meet her. Well, when Melissa finally arrived, she was the SWEETEST thing ever. Watching her talk to Jackie totally made my day because she had made my friend so happy, and I'm so glad that I got to be a part of that memorable day. In seeing lots of different actors and actresses, I was struck by Melissa's down to earth attitude and beautiful presence that seemed to make her stand out among the crowd. I became an instant supporter of her talent, and although I haven't seen her in much, I feel glad that I got a chance to see her this summer at Broadway in Bryant Park when she performed. I hope she continues to go far, because she certainly has the talent to do so! Melissa is wonderful, and I'm glad to be a fan.
Wow, Andi, way to go1 You were there for the coolest day ever and now we're here to tell you that YOU are fan of the week! You totally rock and YOU are one of the people who helped me get the ball rolling with this site so thank YOU and congratulations on being this weeks fan of the week.

FAN OF THE WEEK 3/19-3/26: Robert!
Robert, Michigan USA, 20. I became aware of Melissa from watching Invader Zim and instantly falling in love with her character Gaz. I just LOVE how she just naturally sounds like a kid most of the time. And she just sounds perfect when she voices a gothic characters (Gaz, and Kanako from Love Hina Again). When Melissa voices (or at least dubs) a character, I just fall in love, practically, with that character over practically all the others. Also, from the interviews I've seen on various DVDs, she seems very VERY energetic, bubbly and full of life. That's a great trait that all Actresses should all have.
Congratulations on getting fan of the week, this week Robert! Thanks for sending in your profile and letting us know how much you love Melissa's voice over work. Hope you're having an awesome time up there in Michigan and keep on supporting Melissa! Great job!

FAN OF THE WEEK 3/13-3/19: Elle!
Hi, I'm Elle! I'm 16 years old and live in Virginia. I became a fan of Melissa through Wicked. Her performance at Bryant Park was truly amazing. She's such a great singer! Melissa is also incredibly sweet to her fans, which I find just fantastic about her. It's so hard to find that anywhere anymore. I can't wait to see what Melissa does next!
Elle, you're the bomb yourself! Look at you, running Hiltyfied.org about Megan Hilty and showing someone else what a star they are! That shows how totally awesome you are! Thanks for sending in the profile to be fan of the week because you totally deserve it. Thanks for being there for us all the time and being a wonderful fan to Megan AND Melissa! Way to go.

FAN OF THE WEEK 3/6-3/12: Angie!
Hi there. My name is Angie. I'm an avid fan of Invader Zim, and I gotta say, Melissa's performance as Gaz is just amazing. I became a fan of the show 5 years ago, when I was a freshman in highschool. I thought it was cool, and at times, sad, at first. But I see things from a different pair of eyes. I think Melissa's work as Gaz, Rika, Edward Trivusky, and herself is just amazing. Joel too! Good luck to you, Melissa, on your future projects.
Way to go Angie! Congrats on becoming fan of the week. It's true that you see the world through a different pair of eyes, and you are a remarkable kid. You've been an active member of our little community for months, and it's high time you got to be fan of the week. Good job Angie!

FAN OF THE WEEK 2/27-3/5: Amby Leigh!
I've been a fan of Melissa's for a few years now, even though I didn't really know it for the longest time. Cowboy Bebop was one of the first animes that I got hooked on and it's still one of my favorites today. That's what introduced me to Melissa, but it was when I saw Wicked that I slowly started to become a full-blown fan of hers. After I read her bio in the playbill I started to look into her other works, beyond Bebop. It just amazed me so much that someone was so talented and successful both on stage and in anime dubs, because it has always been somewhat of a dream of mine to be both a voice over and Broadway actress. It's going to sound kind of cheesy, but I guess you could say that Melissa is somewhat of a hero to me. She's accomplished much of what I too hope to someday accomplish. And when I met her last summer at the Wicked stage door, I was so happy to discover that she wasn't just talented, but she was also one of the friendliest and most humble people I have ever met! Most people I've met at stage doors just sign the playbill, snap the picture, and move on. Melissa was the first person that ever actually stopped and talked to me. It made her even more of a hero to me.
Amby you are the screencap queen! That's so awesome that you also got to meet Melissa at the stagedoor. How exciting! Well, congrats on being the totally rad and awesome fan of the week, and thank you OH SO MUCH for all the contributions you've made and continue to make to the site. Thanks a MILLION!

FAN OF THE WEEK 2/20-2/26: Shy!
Hey! My name is Shy Smith. I'm fifteen and I live just outside of San Francisco, California. I saw Melissa in the ensemble of "Wicked" during its tryout in San Francisco as well as over the summer during my vacation to New York. Then, thanks to Jackie, Kimmie, and many of her other fans, I begin to learn more about Melissa in the following months. Her performance as Glinda at Bryant Park was amazing and her work in "Invader Zim", "Grease", and "Vox Lumiere" is equally fantastic, I'm sure. She is such an extremely talented performer and seems to be so incredibly sweet and genuine - it is impossible to not be a fan!
Shy, you totally rock and you're SO right! It is impossible not to be a fan! Everyone who meets her is totally in awe of how genuine of a person she is. Everyone loves her and if you don't like her its because you don't know anything about her! You're such an awesome fan, Shy, and you deserve it this week! Way to go!

FAN OF THE WEEK 2/13-2/19: Elle!
I may not be the BIGGEST Fahn fan, but from what I saw at the Bryant Park performance forever ago, with her signing as Glinda, I was amazed! What a voice! And she seems like SUCH a sweet person. I'm so happy that Jackie has developed such an open relationship with Melissa, and that Melissa has actually taken the time to accept Jackie into her life and remain available for work on the site! That is just fantastic. Congratulations, Jackie, for a truly amazing website. And thank you, Melissa for being so kind to all of us, your fans. You are an amazing performer. <3
Elle, you TOTALLY rock, whether or NOT you're the biggest fan. Remember, Fan of the Week is a celebration of ALL of Melissa's fans, not just the big fans or the fans that do the most stuff. Elle, you totally rock out because you LOVE Melissa and her work and thus... you're a fan! And because you sent in your profile you ARE fan of the week. You totally rock and you're a great fan to Melissa and I humbly thank you for your words to me! LOVE!

FAN OF THE WEEK 2/6-2/12: Greg!
Hey My name is Greg, and I live in good ol' Kent, Ohio. I first learned about Melissa when my friend Jackie pointed out her work in the smash Broadway Musical Wicked. In which she was the lucky cast member who got to throw water at Idnia. Of course in reality I have been one of her fan's for years, for I am a huge fan of Invader Zim and followed it since the first episode. I have to admit my friend Jackie has saturated me with Fahn-knowledge, which I'm very greatful for. I have heard a good many of her recordings and I have seen almost all of her voice over work. For Christmas I made Jackie a Melissa Fahn Tin, decorated with pictures of her productions and interveiws. Melissa simply rocks my socks off.
Yay Greg! You totally rock and that tin is so FUN! What a merry Christmas for me (see kids? you can always just bribe the webmistresses... JUST KIDDING! No Bribery, we take the FOTWs very seriously!) You are a totally totally awesome friend and a totally awesome fan! Yay for our Invader Zim marathons and yay for you being a totally awesome theatre geek. Go Greg!

FAN OF THE WEEK 1/30-2/5: Matthew!
Hey, My name is Matthew and I currently reside in Valencia, Ca. I first heard of Melissa Fahn and her work through my old Drama teacher at Valencia High. He is good friends with the Fahn's, and when we decided to take a small group trip to NY to see broadway shows, we got in contact with her- and she hooked us up right! We went to the June 8th 2004 production of "Wicked," and received amazing center orchestra seats. The evening could not have been better. After the show the group of us went backstage. I was pleasantly surprised to find how tiny Ms. Fahn was/is. Yet how much of a presence she has. She is such a sweetheart and took us backstage and on stage. We got to touch some of the props, and see the inner workings of many of the set pieces. It was "Wicked Sweet." My biggest regret was forgetting to get Melissa's autograph- may be one day. Hopefully I'll see her in Grease! Recently I discovered Mille Baci. I am glad there is a such a site (and a good one at that) featuring an amazing woman with amazing talent. Yes. I am. A Melissa Fahn Fan.
Wow, Matthew, you sure are lucky! Wow... even I wish I could've had that kind of encounter! Wow. Thank you for lovin' the site and, more importantly, being a totaly "wicked" awesome fan of Melissa's! You're totally awesome Matthew, and keep being a totally rockin' fan and good luck with all of your Theatrical endeavors out in Valencia! Techies forever! Way to go.

FAN OF THE WEEK 1/24-1/30: Thom!
When Jackie first introduced me to the work of Melissa Fahn, I was skeptical. That is, until I saw her perform, displaying theatrical artistry in its purest form. I watched entranced, elated to find such a talented individual. She brings her grace and skill to all of her performances. After being introduced to the stage Melissa, I was thrilled to find out that she was a voice-over artist, specifically in a personal favorite, Invader Zim. Melissa is an inspiration for this vocalist and theatre geek, and I eagerly wait for any appearances she may make in Ohio.
Yay Thom! My darling dear friend from High School... how's prison treating you? J/K! Hope you did well on the SAT and all your "studying" of Melissa didn't interfere with your SAT studies! In all seriousness, you're a wonderful boy and an even more wonderful fan. It's been a joy being your friend and schoolmate! Way to go sweetie!

FAN OF THE WEEK 1/18-1/24: Jeanne!
My name is Jeanne and I have been a Melissa fan for ages without knowing it through Fushigi Yuugi. The Nyan Nyans being one of the most fun characters my friends and I would giggle about. Then I met Jackie last summer and I started to learn of this person in Wicked. When I saw the show I watched Melissa as best I could and her performance and energy were fantastic. I agree with most other people when I say her energy stood out from a good portion of the ensemble. It was thrilling. Since then I ve learned more about Melissa and experienced more of her voice over work which always encouraged the already large amount of love I have for her. I am SO looking forward to seeing whatever it is that comes next and I do hope she plans on coming back to the east coast at some point, as I would love to see her on Broadway again. I am also very much looking forward to the Boston Anime Convention. It should be a blast! ^_^
Yeah Jeanne! We had a rockin' time at the Luigi's pizza party and stagedooring Wicked! You totally rock for making that sweet scarf and you're a totally crazy anime fan! Way to rock out the fandom and good luck with your newspaper work! Fingers crossed, I'll see you at Anime Boston!

FAN OF THE WEEK 1/11-1/17: Amanda!
I first discovered Melissa when I went to go see Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth in Broadway's "Wicked" on July 3rd, 2004. I noticed her for her energy and exceptional talent for dance. I'm a dancer myself, so I always pick and choose between dancers onstage until I've narrowed them down to the single most fantastic dancer in the company. I chose Melissa. She possessed grace and talent, and she seemed really into the show. Now that I've found out who she is, through Jackie, I've been able to expand on what I know about her. She really is an interesting artist. I love her voice! She's got some really good songs, and I wish she would record more. I can't WAIT to see what she does next.
Totally awesome, Amanda, and we couldn't agree more! Youre a totally awesome fan, and you deserve your title as the new fan of the week! Keep fangirling with the rest of us and keep dancing beacuse you rock too! I'm an AmandaFan too! Hehehe. Keep it up!

FAN OF THE (slightly extended) WEEK 12/25-1/11: Joel Alpers!!
It's a real honor to count myself among the many wonderful Fans of the Week who have written such wonderful things about her and who make us feel so happy - thank you all, and thank you Jackie!
Wow! Joel, it's more an honor to be able to count you among those of us who are fans! Thank you for spreading the word about our site (we know you have!) and supporting us as well as your wonderful and talented wife. You're a great fan to both her and us and we cannot thank YOU enough. You deserve to be fan for MORE than just a week. Fan of the YEAR, maybe! Hope you (and Melissa) have a wonderful and safe holiday and keep being a wonderful, wonderful fan! Thank you!
